During the 2026 Taiwan Arbitration Week, the Thai and Vietnamese lawyers of Louis Group will gather in Taipei for a seminar on cross-border investment risk management and dispute resolution in Thailand and Vietnam, co-organised by the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei and Far East International Law Office.
Three jurisdictions on one stage
Raymond Yu will introduce and moderate the seminar after opening remarks by Wu Yung-chien, Chairman of the Chinese Arbitration Association. Sopon Sirimongkolrat , founder of Louis & Partners Thailand, will present on investing in Thailand and resolving disputes there, with Ho Ming-feng of Far East International Law Office as discussant.
Nguyen Trung Kien , founder of Louis & Partners Vietnam, whose team practises through the associated law firm BDLAW & Associates, together with Nguyen Thanh Ha and Tran Trong Binh , will present on investment strategy in Vietnam and introduce the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), with Yeh Chun-hung as discussant, followed by an open Q&A.
Why arbitration
Most commercial disputes Taiwanese investors face in Thailand and Vietnam stall on slow local litigation and hard-to-enforce judgments. Arbitration is recognised in both countries and enforceable across borders, but clause drafting, institution choice and enforcement each have their own pitfalls.
